“Filled with a haunting beauty”

“A wonderful experience for anyone in a quiet mood.”

Another fine review for Benedict Schlepper-Connolly’s new release, The weathered stone has reached us from Canada’s The Whole Note magazine, where the record is said to be “filled with a haunting beauty”.

The album is described as “a mostly meditative suite” with “gentle, pointillist minimalism … something like the music of Morton Feldman or perhaps Linda Catlin Smith, but in double time … there is a repetitive trance-like effect that gives the impression of very slow development while the notes are actually moving quite quickly”.
