Ergodos Musicians’ new release, I Call to You has been getting regular airplay on radios around the world this month. The album features compositions by a number of Irish composers based around Johann Sebastian Bach’s organ prelude ‘Ich ruf’ zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ’.

RTÉ Lyric FM’s Blue of the Night have been playing tracks from the album on many of their evening shows, and on the same station on Sunday, 28 May, Bernard Clarke will be devoting much of his programme Nova to the new release. ‘Is it good?’ said Clarke recently. ‘Just built a two hour programme around it, so that’s my answer.’ Tune in to Nova from 8pm to 10pm on 96–99FM in Ireland, or online using the RTÉ Radio Player.
Last week the New York radio station WNYC’s programme New Sounds, presented by John Schaefer, featured two tracks from I Call to You. Benedict Schlepper-Connolly’s Ich bitt, erhör mein Klagen and Garrett Sholdice’s Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ both featured alongside Brian Eno and Jan Garbarek in a programme themed around contemporary perspectives on early music. In celebration of I Call to You first month out in the world, we’re making the first track — Sholdice’s transcription of Bach’s sublime organ prelude — available to download for free for a limited period. Just click here to get your copy.
