We can’t wait to welcome Maya Homburger and Barry Guy back to Dublin. We first presented the incomparable Baroque violin and double bass duo in the capital five years ago, and now they’re gearing up to perform the second Santa Rita Concert at The Little Museum of Dublin on Wednesday, 29 October.
The incomparable Homburger/Guy duo epitomises the spirit of celebratory eclecticism so central to Ergodos curations. Maya Homburger is a leading exponent of the Baroque violin; her interpretations of Bach and Telemann are masterful in their muscularity and elegance. Barry Guy is a renowned improviser and composer, as influential in the world of jazz and free improvisation as in that of contemporary composition. Together they have refined a performance language of extraordinary dynamism, flexibility and subtlety.
Homburger and Guy will present their acclaimed interpretations of music by Baroque masters J.S. Bach, H.I.F. Biber and the lesser-known Johann Heinrich Schmelzer, alongside work by Guy himself. They will also return to music from the Ergodos Records release, Star, composed by Benedict Schlepper-Connolly, Garrett Sholdice and Simon O’Connor.
The evening begins at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine reception and pre-concert interview with the performers. The performance begins at 8pm sharp. As always, advance booking is advised.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Santa Rita for making possible this unique series and indeed for helping to bring music to this very special space in the heart of Dublin city.
