Clarinettist Jonathan Sage, who features on a number of Ergodos Records releases, including his own solo album, Counterpoint, will perform as soloist with the Scarborough Symphony Orchestra on Saturday May 3.
May will also see the young English clarinettist tour with the Dark Inventions ensemble. Check out Sage’s performance of a piece by composer Benjamin Gait, as part of a Dark Inventions performance, here.
Sage’s solo album on Ergodos, ‘Counterpoint’, was recently praised in the Clarinet and Saxophone Society Magazine.
“In every track Jonathan’s playing is excellent (and possibly stamina extraordinary) […] I found myself listening to [Benedict Schlepper-Connolly’s piece, Another Country] time after time. Excellent!” – Kenneth Morris, Clarinet and Saxophone Society Magazine.
