Dublin-based woodwind instrumentalist, composer and music producer Seán Mac Erlaine (This is how we fly, Quiet Music Ensemble) has been described by The Irish Times as “consistently one of the most interesting and adventurous musicians of his generation”. He is the featured artist in the next installment of the 2014/2015 Santa Rita Concerts series at The Little Museum of Dublin, which takes place on Wednesday 26 November.
Mac Erlaine’s highly-developed solo language is a meditative blend of lyrical jazz melody, incisive dissonance and late-night electronic ambience – perfect for the intimate, candlelit atmosphere of the Little Museum’s Georgian drawing room exhibition space.
The evening will also feature the launch of a brand new solo record, titled A Slender Song, which has been sensitively curated from live recordings of improvised performances around Ireland over a four year period.
As with all Santa Rita Concerts, the evening will begin at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine reception and pre-concert interview with the performer. The performance will then begin at 8pm sharp.
