Both the clarinettist Jonathan Sage and composer Garrett Sholdice were interviewed this week in The Journal of Music about their upcoming Dublin performance. Speaking about Sholdice’s work, Sage said, ‘Constant features of his work are space, stillness and beauty, and this requires the performer to really engage with the music and get into the right ‘headspace’.
