We are delighted to announce the second season of Santa Rita Concerts at The Little Museum of Dublin, which will run between September 2015 and March 2016. This year’s programme is even more exciting and broad ranging than last season – legendary traditional fiddle player Frankie Gavin opens the series, and concerts include renowned English folk singer Chris Wood, one of our best young pianists Michael McHale, and the astonishing cellist William Butt, to name a few.
Full information may be found here.
As always, each concert is conceived to provide a unique, deeply immersive audience experience. The evenings begin at 7pm with a Santa Rita wine reception in the museum’s first floor, and a pre-concert interview with the evening’s musician(s). The 8pm performances take place in the museum’s downstairs gallery – two beautifully resonant Georgian drawing rooms, connected by a wide archway. The space is candlelit and the atmosphere highly intimate – a concentrated ritual shared by performer and audience.
A specially discounted season ticket – which entitles the bearer to entrance to all remaining concerts in the 2015/2016 Santa Rita Concerts series plus free entrance to the The Little Museum of Dublin until end of March 2016 – is available to purchase online here.
